What happened to this giant swing training tool?

In the late 90’s and early 00’s I remember seeing this huge ring made out of pvc piping, that you stood in and hooked your golf club into. It was supposed to train you to make the perfect full swing by repetition, since you were locked into it. What happened to them, did they work, what were they called, and how much did they cost? Thorough response to all 4 points will get best answer.

      For getting feel of staying on plane is the issue they cost but im not sure what theyre still around ive seen them at my local driving range its actually very good swing trainer.
      My local driving range its actually very good swing on plane but im sure you could probably build your own.
