Also, I am 21 years old, I appreciate the advice, but I don’t think I can get into the junior leagues, but maybe the adult amateurs, do you think I’m starting too late? I mean I learn very quickly, I’m competitive (even though sometimes I think I’m too hard on myself) and the main thing right now is that I am determined. I am about to spend 2 grand at golf tech for 6 months of weekly lessons and unlimited practice…..In comparison from the pros to the good amateurs, what is the competiton like in the tournaments.

I was recently hired to be a golf caddy but haven’t received any on-the-green training. I have a few things I need to clear up, answer as many or as little of them as you’d like.

1. I know how to measure yardages, but when do I do this? On the way? After the golfer asks me?

2. When do you start walking to the ball- after your golfer has gone, or after the entire group has gone? Is it easy to tell who’s furthest, who’s gone, etc.?

3. (Not as important, but…) What was your first day like? Any funny stories or words of warning?
4. When do you fix ball marks?
