Weight Loss and Training?

Ralphiejunior asked:

I am 20 years old this year, enlisted in the Royal Singapore Air Force, and used to weigh 120kg and stand at 1.78m tall. I have since lost approximately 20kg in 50 days, following strict instructions of a ‘under 700-calorie’ diet, which consist of Milo in the morning and evenings, a granola snack bar in between the afternoon, and roughly 3 hot dogs w/o bread for dinner or equivalent.

I am under the prescription of Panbesy - a clinical diagnosed drug suppressant. Its been working well, but my weight remained stagnant for the past couple of days despite my 2500-calorie daily deficit. I can only commit myself to activities in the night, such as golf training 1-2 times weekly, and elliptical trainers 3 times a week, 30mins each time - gradually working on HIIT.

I have just recently undergone spinal fusion surgery and liposuction, and it is tough for me to keep up intense workout. I just need to lose 10kg within 2 months. Am i doing enough right now, or do I need to work harder? Thanks!

Carl

Golf Training Equipment, to Master the Art

Robert Riles asked:

A game that is played based on an individual’s thinking power and physical strength does require some amount of training. If a person were to think that they dont need any training, they are likely to humiliate themselves on the course. Golf training equipments are created by companies to help people master the game, and to judge their own playing abilities. Be it swinging, or shooting the ball off the tee, judging the speed and distance, all these can be analyzed and studied using the equipments. Since golf is a solo game, it is necessary to learn the small details before stepping onto the course to try shooting a birdie or a hole in one. It is not as easy as it looks, and requires some amount of practice and training just like any other sport.

The training equipment is basically to help the player understand his own capabilities and strengths or weaknesses. How is the game played? Where do you have to give more pressure? How far will the ball travel? How fast is it likely to go?are some questions for which answers lie within the equipments. There are a few amateurs who think too much of themselves and dont care too much for the training tools, and are unable to maintain consistency in their game. A stroke of luck might be with them during their initial games, but as they grow with the game, they will require training to keep up with others. Competition is very high in this as well, since there are players from across the globe participating in the tournaments trying to get the best handicap.

There are a few tricks and tips that every players picks up from the training sessions, which is the bottom line why training is required in the first place. Using a speed meter will assess the speed of your shot, or maybe a half swing stand will help better the way you swing your club. For every movement there is an equipment that can be utilized, it all depends on the player and their passion for the game. As you play, you will zero in on where you need improvement, and the areas that need to be focussed on. Based on this study, you can pick out equipments that will help make it better. Be it Putting, or a general rowing machine, you will need to get your golf basics and physical fitness in shape before playing serious games. Golf training equipments are found in all golf clubs, and are a boon to players who cannot afford to spend a lot of money buying them, but are in dire need of some extra assistance. These can be made use of before or after a game, or to make practice shots. Have a target in a distance, and play towards it, making sure you have your concentration corrected. Similarly, you could try every aspect of the game on the training range till you are ready for the professional golf.

Golf Training Equipment, just What You Need to Master the Game

Robert Riles asked:

For a person to excel in a sport, or any activity, they need some kind of training. Only when they understand the sport, learn the details, and terms used while playing it, will they excel or be able to survive. The same applies to golf enthusiasts, they need to undergo a certain amount of training, else they will end up embarrassing themselves out on the golf course. They might know all that goes into the sport, but if they are clueless about how to play the game, or hold the club, it is lost. Golf training equipment is readily available in most sports good stores and online stores as well.

Put together all the items you need to play a game of golf, and imagine how it would be to use them all at the same time. That would be next to impossible, which is why you need to pick up the right kind of training equipment. You need to make visits to a store that stocks all the products, have a discussion with the expert and then pick up what you need. For some, they might require a trainer to help them get focus, and be able to play well, but others might pick it up on their own.

Picking out the right kind of golf clubs, ball, a tee and other accessories is important to play well. Another thing to keep in mind, is that this is a sport that requires more of brain work than physical effort. If the person is able to judge the distance, and knows which driver to use, half the battle has been won.

They could pick out a swing speed meter which will keep them posted on the speed of their swing shots, which will teach them to use the right driver. After this, a stability ball should also be purchased. This is not to play golf but to keep the body fit while bending or flexing the muscles. Since they are not very cumbersome, they can be stored in small spaces and used. Buying a vision track is optional, this comes with instructional DVD that allows the person to see how far the hole is or what kind of shot they need to take. Ideal for practicing at home, or when the player wants to get comfortable before getting out on a range.

There are some training equipment that come with a golf cage with net, that one can install in their backyard. These are like a practice area, within which the player can take as many shots as they want to understand how the ball moves. The swing turner is a golf training equipment that helps correct the strokes taken. It helps the person position their clubs in the right manner giving maximum leverage. An inside approach is a good alternative for beginners, giving the player the assistance to get high impact on the ball. There are also videos and tutorials available which help the person learn about the game.
